Brand new CD skipping without any scratches. Today I received the Luv (sic) Hexalogy (import from Japan) and popped it in a CD player. Everything was going smooth until a certain part where it started skipping. So, I tried another CD player. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. I’ve had similar issues with brand new albums skipping on my rega. It still happens and usually it’s due to pressing issue or a dirty record. The problem is with the player not the CDs - its doing it on a range of CDs all of which are normal pre-recorded commercially manufactured CDs which are clean and in good condition.It sounds like when it burned the CD it burned it with MP3 files vs. the actual WAV file that is needed.
