I see them for all the old Toyotas pre-1998 but don't see any for Scion. If you have, then it's a good idea to disconnect the battery negative, wait a minute or so, and then reconnect to force the ECU to relearn the engine behavior. Any changes (intake, etc) result in a relearn situation.

The xB should tow fine. You do have to pay attention to what you put in the ehicle when you tow--the vehicle has a mx gross vehicle weight.
