4 years ago. No, the reason its grayed out is because the Xfi system auto selects the best channel for you. You can disable it but its already monitoring to make sure your system is running optimally. Or at least that's what they say. They could be blowing smoke but it seems to work when I double check its decisions.
If you are talking about the credentials for accessing the user interface / settings pages for the Comcast rented gateway devices, then the only way to change them is to reset the device back to factory defaults, unfortunately.
