I feel that since a lot of these Nintendo protagonists don't have the deepest personalities, trying to fill out an entire team with this philosophy would create a lot of guesswork about what they'd DO in the Pokemon world and WHY they'd do it (motivations for characters like Mario and Link who are usually pretty blank slate or surface level).
