Fallout 4 beginning stuck

I cant even press esc and quit out of the game, pressing it does nothing. I have to alt tab and close it like that or with task manager.

The issue is when people start it there is sometimes a glitch in the intro sequence. To get around it you have to pause the game and unpause several times for the dialogue to progress. OP, that will happen if you click play, then click again anywhere on the Fallout 4 start menu before the game launches. Only click play [once] on the menu and wait for the game to launch. Every other time I hit play on game screen ,the game runs behind the Fallout steam window. I have too ctrl alt del out and restart to get out.
