The E40D had a history of locking and unlocking by itself for no apparent reason, and then not storing any codes in the PCM as to why.

Its not very long. Install the jets before you attempt installing the pistons. Those bolts are a special grade bolt too. Do not use a home depot bolt. The engine harmonics will crack the bolts and then you loose a poston of the complete engine because you have no oil pressure.

EZ that Racor filter was a hybrid with a 6.9 thread and gasket at the top and a 7.3 water separator on the bottom. They stopped producing it as far as I know.
