Siphoned the gas out of the ranger yesterday and poured in 5 gallons of 93 no ethanol fresh out of the pump. Had to give it a shot of starting fluid to start. Cranks but no start. Ranger had been occasionally running a little ruff over the past month. Seemed to be running on one cylinder for a bit after start, but after running a few minutes would run ok. This weekend it started up fine.It sounds like you still might not be getting enough power to start the machine. If you have a charger, hook it up to the battery and turn it on and try to start it again. If it starts, you still have a weak battery. It clicked like a silenoid or dead battery. I went over the connections and saw the starter wire hanging by a thread and it was shooting sparks when i would turn the key.
