I was never a 68k in the army. However, I am a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in California as a Civilian which is the bachelor degree version of 68k I make $53 an hour + 5$ additional shift differential and have dirt cheap health insurance. I am not even at midpoint of my pay scale yet either.
