Recently purchased a PS5 as well as recent upgrade from Xfinity (Comcast) to 600Mbps internet plan. After running a lot of speed tests on phones, laptops, iPads and PS5, the PS5 is maxing out at 188 Mbps over WifI (5 GHz) and 175 Mbps over LAN (ethernet) connection.Currently I have the new gateway fios router in bridge mode and the netgear in AP mode. When directly plugging in to the fios modem/router I get speeds of around 900Mbps. When I connect the same cable(cat6 from my pc to router) to the netgear router (netgear is connected to the fios router with a cat6 cable) I get speeds around 350Mbps.Now, my question is whether to get an R8000 or another R7000. The routers will be used in opposite corners of the house and one will be used as a "dumb" AP only (with Cat5e wired connection to the first router). All of a sudden my wifi performance took a nose dive, however it wasn't my bandwidth, seems like it's more latency.
